So much to say regarding this particular look; for starters, I'd like to say that it's not my usual style to combine these pieces but nonetheless I like how this turned out anyway. Secondly, I should also add with a little confession that I am wearing zero make-up here. At first, to be honest, I was a bit doubtful whether I should post this as it is or not (because I mean, you've got these amazing bloggers who are pros when it comes to looking like models; and on the other hand, you have me), but at the end; this is my blog, probably the only social platform where the strings are completely in my hands, and I want to depict myself as openly, as naturally, and as purely as possible.
My second academic year in university starts this Monday and it's funny how much ecstatic I am about it. I made a promise to myself that I won't cut any classes unless it's absolutely necessary, because I've cut way more during the first semester (because well, this may sound like I'm a depressed soul but to be honest, I felt completely left out after seeing the same faces and living in the same environment for 11 years, that I just wanted to crawl in my bed than to go to classes and sit and listen to lectures with complete strangers.) This year I'm keen to make some serious changes in my life! I'll also sign up for working in my school and to some Hiphop classes outside of school. Hope you're doing fine, you beautiful souls!

I'm back from the latest (and probably my last) EYP conference that was held in santralistanbul, which also happens to be my university; and it was truly a splendid five days for me. I've met so many amazing people all across Europe (including the UK, Serbia, Kosovo, Greece, the Netherlands, Spain, France, Germany, Sweden) and I've get to know different personalities and perspectives. But what counts the most for me is that I've made so many amazing friends along the way.
This conference was a bit more sentimental than the others for me since a) The venue was my university as I've just mentioned, and truth to be told, I don't have that many of friends. But with these great people and the memories we shared at the venue, it's safe to say that I'll be looking for their faces during this semester; b) I finally dragged my two very best friends to be a part of EYP and get to share this experience with them; and c) This was probably my last EYP since I've been thinking of retiring for quite some time and what better way to say goodbye than organise a session at my own university?

It is safe to say that I've got a sick obsession when it comes to TV shows, meaning that whenever I watch a show, I can't help myself but to imagine what it would be like to be like the characters in those pieces. It happens every time. Being a girl with an enormous imagination has these perks from time to time. When I watch Arrow for instance, I imagine myself a girl who kicks butts every now and then; while watching Suits I get the feeling of walking around, wearing pretty clothes and speaking those weird English law words that I can't even think of right now. Like that time when I used to watch Charmed, I'd go around acting as if I had magical powers, I was young and naive, and obviously stupid okay?! What I'm trying to get to is that this outfit was inspired by none other than the Serena van der Woodsen character that we're all pretty familiar of seeing from Gossip Girl. I suppose that show was one of the earliest visual concepts that dragged me into having a blog and I know I'm not alone at this...
Although I'd kill to have Blair Waldorf's closet, I suppose Serena's style is closer to time, it's more livelier and playful. What I've noticed in her clothes is that she never wears the same colour from top to bottom, meaning that she only combines colours that goes together. Lastly, she wears the most amazing garments and accessories to complete her look, and that's what I tried to accomplish. Hope you like it!

I love how spontaneous your life can change directions. Like the other day, my sister who's living in America came to Istanbul for a week; and tomorrow we're going to Cunda for a little family trip. When people ask me whether I have a sibling or not, I usually say that I have a little brother; when in fact I've got my sister, whom I've met seven years ago, too. The thing is, she's from my dad's first marriage and for some reason, things like this are kept in closets in our society, so I rather not explain the situation to strangers. Even though the fact that I have a sister wasn't something that I knew when I was little, we got along pretty well; she's one of the liveliest person I have in my life, and I'm so glad that we share blood.
I ment to do an all-white look and decided that this top will be great for the occasion. I love how the colour white represents purity when the slogan on the shirt is stating the total opposite. Gotta love juxtapositions!

Looking back at photos has always made me feel nostalgic, there is something sentimental in capturing certain moments in life and keeping them in a shelf to come back in the future. Also, there is this fact that photos are not real in terms of capturing the moment as they are the duplications of the moment itself and it is easily manipulated by the person who clicks the shutter.
I can go on and on feeling all poetic, but it's time to get back on the main point and present you the stories behind these so many snapshots. Çeşme has been an amazing period, I loved getting away from Istanbul even for a short time, and the fact that I had my favourite songs and books keeping me company and my dearest friends who constantly spread liveliness and happiness around; I couldn't ask for more. Real friends are pure treasures, I find this little lesson the hard way. I came in terms that the ones who are beside me are the ones who truly matter, the others are not important at all.
